When choosing crystals you may have a specific property or crystal meaning that you are wanting to work with. You can use various crystal books to research and discover the different types of crystals that fit that purpose. If you have other modality trainings such as kinesiology you can muscle test for the priority crystal to use for your healing.
You can select the crystal by shape, you may be looking to work with crystals that have certain shapes that are fit for the purpose. Pyramids are thought to amplify the energy of anything placed underneath them. Wands and pointed crystals are thought to amplify and direct the energy of the crystal through the point which is great for acupressure points.
You can chose crystals by using your own intuition. We all have intuition, it is just a matter of quieting the mind, concentrating on the issue you want to address and then choosing the crystal that you feel most guided to. Remember that crystals have their own unique frequency. Choosing a crystal for a specific intention can be as easy as feeling across a group of crystals for one that feels to have the right energy, having an instant gut feel for a crystal or closing your eyes, thinking of the issue and choosing the crystal that your eyes first go to.
Call upon the universe to help you in selecting a crystal that is right for your particular purpose or intention. This is particularly good when presented with a lot of crystal choices in a shop or on a website. Ask the universe to provide the crystal that will work for your highest good. Close your eyes and contemplate the issue you want to work with or manifest moving your head slowly scanning all the crystals (with eyes still closed). Open your eyes and the first place your eyes land is the crystal for your purpose.
Research all the crystals. This can take some time but can help you get to know your new crystal friends very well. Some great books include absolutely anything by Judy Hall, the Crystal Bible books are a great source of inspiration and information.
