Crystals and Chakras

Crystals and chakras are often used together in spiritual practices. Chakras are energy centers in the body that are believed to be associated with different emotions and physical sensations. There are seven main chakras, each with a corresponding colour and crystal. Crystals are believed to have healing properties that can help balance the energy of the chakras. Crystals can be used to balance chakras through healing sessions, worn as jewellery or simply keeping them in one’s home, one can naturally shift the vibrational frequencies of energetic channels to treat any physical, emotional or spiritual difficulties.
Root Chakra (Muladhara): Located at the base of the spine, it is associated with the colours red, black and brown and is believed to be linked to one’s sense of security, stability, grounding and survival instincts. Crystals to use include Red Jasper, Onyx, Haematite.
Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana): Located in the lower abdomen, it is associated with the colour orange and is believed to be linked to one’s creativity, sexuality, and emotional balance. Crystals to use include Carnelian, Calcite, Sunstone.
Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura): Located in the upper abdomen, it is associated with the colour yellow and is believed to be linked to one’s self-esteem, confidence, and personal power. Crystals to use include Amber, Citrine, Golden Healer.
Heart Chakra (Anahata): Located in the center of the chest, it is associated with the colour green and pink and is believed to be linked to one’s ability to give and receive love, compassion, and forgiveness. Rose quartz, Rhodonite, Aventurine, Ruby Fuchsite.
Throat Chakra (Vishuddha): Located in the throat area, it is associated with the colour blue and is believed to be linked to one’s ability to communicate effectively and express oneself authentically. Crystals to use include Apatite, Blue lace agate, Lapis.
Third Eye Chakra (Ajna): Located between the eyebrows, it is associated with the colour indigo and is believed to be linked to one’s intuition, imagination, and spiritual awareness. Crystals to use include Indigo Gabbro, Iolite, Labradorite.
Crown Chakra (Sahasrara): Located at the top of the head, it is associated with the colour violet or white and is believed to be linked to one’s connection with the divine or higher consciousness. Clear Quartz, Selenite, Amethyst, Lepidolite.
