Towers, Points, Generators and Obelisks
Towers can be 4, 6 or 8 sided with a flat base so that it can stand. Towers can be carved and polished into this shape, or they can be made from a natural crystal point like Quartz, Amethyst, or Citrine by cutting the bottom to be flat. Sometimes the crystal faces will be polished to sharpen, repair, or emphasize the point at the top. The energy of a tower is directed upward and out. Wherever they are placed they emit a very focused and directional energy that affects the area around it as well as any other crystals that are nearby. They are great to hold in your hand during meditation to help calm and focus, for use laying down in crystal grids with the point focused in on the center of manifestation, for using in rooms or a workspace to create an energy vortex either by placing a tower on your desk or placing a tower in each corner of the room. Try writing down an affirmation or desire on a piece of paper, fold it and place the tower on top with the point facing upwards. This directs the intention from the paper upward, radiating it out into the universe.
Pyramids
Pyramids also known as tetrahedron in sacred geometry has a very grounded and stabilizing energy. They are powerful for manifesting desires with the strong square base acting as an anchor for your intentions and the point of the top sending your intentions out into the universe.
Hearts
Crystals that are shaped and polished into the shape of a heart connect strongly with the heart chakra producing a gentle and loving energy. The energy output is softer so they can be useful for people who are extra sensitive. They can be used in heart chakra healing and programmed with your specific intentions. Meditate with your chosen heart shaped crystal, focusing energy and attention on your heart, imagine it filling with pure and loving light, weaving the light around to clear out any old wounds or traumas, leaving behind healing and peace.
Spheres
The sphere shape reminds us that we are a part of the greater whole, connected to all the energies in our surroundings, resembling the circle of life. They emit their energy from all sides, expanding out into a room evenly. They can bring a playful element to our spiritual practice. Imagine that you are holding the world in the palm of your hand. The connected vibe these magical crystal balls give off also makes them great for meditation. Promoting harmony, stability and unity. Adding a small one to your crystal collection that fits nicely in your hand while you meditate can also double as a mini massage ball to relax any tense muscles. Placed in the center of a crystal grid they will emit energies and intentions evenly and gently.
Eggs
Similar to a sphere, crystal eggs emit their energy from all sides but with a focal point at the top. The egg resembles fertility and life and is excellent for personal transformation, starting fresh, beginning new projects, or brainstorming ideas. Eggs support new beginnings and transformations. Eggs possess a beautiful feminine energy and can be very empowering for anyone to hold. You can program your crystal egg to assist in beginning a new journey. Focus your thoughts on what you want this new beginning to look like, how you want it to transform your journey. Set your intention for you want this egg crystal to support you through the transition.
Palm Stones
Palm stones or worry stones can be round or oval, usually flat and small enough to fit into the palm of your hand. They are perfect for holding during meditation or for laying on the body during a crystal healing session as they won’t roll off as easily as other shapes. They are also super transportable for carrying in your pocket or handbag for when you are out and about the world. Easy to hold and place under your pillow as you are going to sleep.

Tumble Stones
Tumble stones are a practical and affordable entry point for those interested in using crystals in their daily lives. Like palm stones they can be carried in your bag or pocket. They are usually polished to a really lovely shine that it pleasant to look at and work with.
Clusters and Geodes
These are the most natural form of crystal shapes. With their various shapes and sizes of multiple points going in all directions, clusters are exceptional at bringing peace and unity into a space. Each cluster will be special and unique in its own way. With the many points acting as powerful energy amplifiers they can make us feel more energized mentally and physically. They can also be used to cleanse and protect larger areas of space. Larger clusters are also great for cleansing the smaller crystals. Geodes have their clusters of points on the inside acting like a little cave of concentrated energies. Great for writing down manifestations and intentions and placing them inside.
Wands
Wands can come in many varieties, shapes and sizes. They can be rounded or faceted in the main body of the wand. They can have a point at one or both ends or be rounded at one or both ends (great for massage). Wands allow energy to be directed and flow. They can be useful for both releasing negative energy or infusing healing energy. They are the most traditional shape used in crystal healing.
Merkabah
Merkabah, also spelled Merkabah, comes from a Hebrew word meaning light, spirit, body. The Merkabah Symbol is a shape made of 2 intersecting tetrahedrons that spin in opposite directions, creating a 3-dimensional energy field. You can activate this pattern of light around your own body with practiced meditation and breathing techniques. The Merkabah is said to provide protection and to transport your consciousness to higher dimensions. The Merkabah shape reminds us of the potential power we can wield when we unite our own energies in pursuit of connection and growth.
You can find crystals in other freeform shapes such as domes, flames, slabs, etc. These can be used around your home, garden or workspace to focus intention into a particular area of your space.
